- The Listening, Reading and Writing tests take 2 hours 40 minutes and there are no breaks between each section of the test.
- Make sure you are prepared and have something to eat and drink beforehand. You will not be allowed to take food into the test room. You will only be allowed to take a drink in a transparent bottle. (From our experience, they also allow to take a little chocolate bar, but probably it depends)
- Watches are not allowed in the test room. Every test room in test centres has a clock on the wall, and the IELTS Online test has a clock on the screen. Stay aware of the time so you can attempt all questions.
- If you are taking the test in a test centre, allow plenty of time to travel to the test centre. If you are taking IELTS Online, download the test day software (you will be emailed about this) in advance and give yourself extra time to log in. If you are late, you may not be allowed to take the test.
