⭐ Both Academic and General Reading consist of 3 texts and 40 questions.
You should take IELTS Academic module if you're going to study abroad. And if you're intending to work abroad, then you should take IELTS General module. IELTS Academic reading is more challenging than IELTS General reading.
IELTS Academic Reading⭐ There are three sections and each section contains one long text.
⭐ The texts are authentic materials taken from books, journals, magazines, online resources and newspapers.
⭐ A short glossary is provided if the texts contain technical terms.
IELTS General Training Reading⭐ Section 1 contains two or three short factual texts. One of these texts is often a composite text consisting of 6-8 short related texts (e.g. restaurant advertisements).
⭐ Section 2 contains two short factual texts which focus on work-related issues (e.g. applying for jobs, company policies and procedures, salary and conditions, workplace facilities, staff training).
⭐ Section 3 contains one longer, more complex text on a topic of general interest.
⭐ General Training texts are taken from notices, adverts, handbooks, official documents as well as books, magazines, online resources and newspapers.
Marking- Each correct answer receives 1 mark.
